Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing defender Saidy Janko, who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest from Porto.
According to the Sun, Premier League duo Wolves and Fulham are both eyeing the Swiss 23-year-old following his impressive displays in the Championship this term.
It is understood that manager Nuno Espirito Santo is keen on signing a new right-back, which is why Janko could be a brilliant player to bring to Molineux.
The report details that the full-back’s loan at Forest is for the entire season, which means a summer switch to a new club looks more likely if terms cannot be broken.
Wolves currently have Matt Doherty as their first-choice right wing-back and he’s adjusted well to the top flight, but it’s no secret there is not many options behind him.
Janko is a young defender that is on the rise and has a lot of qualities that could make him a perfect match for Nuno.
He is a right-sided flyer with express pace and loves to join in with the attack, which is why a wing-back role is a good fit for him.
Janko has also looked formidable in the Championship with Forest and he could be some player by next summer if he continues improving, but ideally he should be on Wolves’ radar for January.
