Jonny has been an ever-present in the starting XI since his arrival, and Nuno Espirito Santo now has a decision to make.

He could put his faith in youngster Ruben Vinagre, or dip into the transfer market.

If he opted to do the latter, perhaps Ryan Sessegnon should be the go-to man.

There’s a reasonable chance he’ll be allowed to temporarily depart Tottenham Hotspur, where he only made 12 appearances in 2019/20.

The former Fulham star needs regular minutes and he would surely get that in Jonny’s absence at Wolves.

The Wolves system could be absolutely perfect for the £25 million man (BBC Sport), who has played as both a left-back and a left-winger so far in his fledgling career.

The attack-minded ace could flourish as a wing-back and under the guidance of Espirito Santo.
