Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan but face competition from both Everton and Serie A leaders AC Milan – and Wolves supporters have reacted on Twitter.
Simakan, 20, has caught attention of many with his breakthrough into the first team at Strasbourg. He has already clocked up 41 appearances in all competitions – but his future at Strasbourg looks less and less likely, despite having a contract until 2023.
Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed that AC Milan are in talks to complete a deal for Simakan in the January transfer window, with Strasbourg looking to secure a fee in the region of £13.5million and £18million.

Milan have placed a real faith in young players this season – their win on Sunday saw the club field 11 players all below the age of 26, with the eldest being Turkish playmaker Haka Calhanoglu. Indeed, Simakan would fit right at home with that type.
But the report claims Everton and Wolves are interested in beating Milan to Simakan’s signature. Everton have been playing all four centre-backs in defence of late, while Wolves need cover given Nuno Espirito Santo’s usage of a back three.
Wolves supporters have reacted on Twitter amid reports that they could beat Everton and AC Milan to the signing of Simakan ahead of the January window – and one fan urged Wolves to “do it”.
