Liverpool and Manchester United are the greatest of rivals, and for their reason, their players are always compared with one another.

Whether it’s Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand and Virgil van Dijk or Peter Schmeichel and Alisson, there are tons of debates around these two clubs and their star players.

Now, Wolves star Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has made a claim about two of Liverpool and United’s current players.

Indeed, Bellegarde was taking part in a TikTok challenge for JD Sports when he had to compare two of United and Liverpool’s star players.

Mohamed Salah picked ahead of Marcus Rashford

Bellegarde was completing a footballing bracket made up of some of the best players in the world.

During this challenge, the Frenchman was asked to pick between Mohamed Salah and Marcus Rashford.

Both players have been vitally important for their respective clubs in recent years, but Bellegarde opted to pick Salah over Rashford.

Mohamed Salah is way ahead of Marcus Rashford

Bellegarde barely hesitated when picking Salah over Rashford, and it’s not hard to understand why.

Rashford, at his best, is one of the best attackers in the Premier League, but even then he’s not close to Salah’s level.

Salah is a three-time Golden Boot winner who has won the Premier League and the Champions League.

Meanwhile Rashford is a player who blows hot and cold for Manchester United, and he’s never won one of the top two prizes in club football.

Rashford is a brilliant player when he’s on form, but it’s been a little while since we’ve seen him at his very best.

As for Salah, consistency is the name of the game for the Egyptian. He’s hit 20 goals in all competitions in every single season for Liverpool, and he looks to be on track to do the same again this season after a fast start for the Reds.
