Wolves should take a look at Newcastle United defender Javier Manquillo

Wolverhampton Wanderers have already played 31 games across all competitions this season, with their European commitments really stretching their squad.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have managed fairly well, as they have qualified for the Round of 32 in the Europa League and sit eighth in the Premier League table.

But they could do with some fresh bodies in January is possible and a couple of extra players at Molineux would help massively in the second half of the campaign.

One area that Wolves desperately need a recruit is at right wing-back, as Matt Doherty has so much pressure on him to be fit for every game and there is little cover behind him.

The 27-year-old Irishman is a brilliant full-back that adds so much to the Wolves side, but he would thrive off some healthy competition and it would allow him some rest too.

Adama Traore can fill in at wing-back but is much better going forward and versatile defender Jonny can cover if needed, but he’s competing on the left flank.

Manquillo is used to playing right wing-back in the Newcastle system and would be able to get up to speed with the Wolves style quicker than most.

The 25-year-old Spaniard is such a dependable figure at St James’ Park that steps in whenever needed and he’s found a purple patch of form in the last four games for Newcastle.

According to the Northern Echo, Premier League outfit West Ham are planning a £5million bid in the January transfer window to try sign the Newcastle full-back.

But Wolves should definitely throw their name into the hat for him, as he’s exactly what they need and he’s got the experienced to slot straight in.
