Wolves should consider joining reported hunt for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana

Wolverhampton Wanderers managed to qualify for the Europa League last season on their return to the top-flight and this campaign they currently sit seventh in the table.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo has a quality group of players that should aim to become European regulars, but the squad isn’t the biggest at Molineux and could do with a few additions.

The West Midlands club are an attractive option to players and one man they should try attempt to sign is Liveprool’s Adam Lallana.

According to the Telegraph, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is resigned to losing the midfielder at the end of the season despite wanting him to extend his contract.

It is understood there is a “queue” of clubs from home and abroad that are keen on the 31-year-old, as his current deal at Anfield expires in the summer and he could be snapped up on a free transfer.

Wolves should look at throwing their name into the hat for the 34-time capped England international and try sign him.

Lallana is a creative midfielder that has proven himself in the Premier League over a number of years and he would add real quality to the Wolves ranks.

He’s played 15 senior games across all competitions this season for Liverpool, but isn’t a regular starter and the competition for places at the Premier League leaders is immense.

There is no doubting the playmaker can still make a real impact in the top-flight on his day and he would be a smart target, especially on a free transfer.

Lallana would give Nuno real options given his versatility, as he can slot into a central midfield role to dictate play with both feet and also push further forward into wide areas.
