Wolves should consider a move for £10.5m-rated Javier Hernandez

Wolverhampton Wanderers are enjoying a great return to the top flight this season and sit eighth in the Premier League table right now.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are in the running for European football next season if they stay in good form, but could perhaps do with some extra firepower in attack.

Raul Jimenez has been brilliant as the first-choice striker at Moineux this season, but there isn’t much competition in the squad for the spearhead position.

Wolves should be looking to strengthen in January if they can and that is why West Ham’s Javier Hernandez should pop up on their radar.

According to El Desmarques, West Ham have rejected a loan bid from Valencia for Hernandez and have a £10.5million price tag on him.

It is understood that a permanent exit would be the only way the centre-forward leaves the London Stadium in January.

Hernandez could be a great option for Wolves to explore and a near-£10million fee could be a potential bargain price.

The 30-year-old is experienced at Premier League level and would provide some excellent know-how to a youthful Wolves frontline.

He has scored five goals in 17 games this season in all competitions and is a real poacher in the penalty area, which would give manager Nuno something different to use if he needs.

Hernandez also has 50 goals during his career with Mexico and Jimenez would surely love to reunite with his international teammate at club level.
