Wolves manager Nuno Santo is on Chelsea’s radar to be their new manager when Maurizio Sarri completes his expected move to Juventus.
According to the Daily Express, Sarri is expected to complete his switch to Turin within the next 48 hours, and Chelsea have already started preparing by collating the names of the possible candidates to replace him.
Santo is apparently on that list, alongside Derby boss Frank Lampard, England assistant manager Steve Holland, Watford chief Javi Gracia, former Juve boss Max Allegri and Erik tan Hag, the man who guided Ajax to the brink of this season’s Champions League.
So, while there are plenty of alternatives to Santo on Chelsea’s potential list, the Old Gold could well be set for a raid for a man who was so impressive in his first season in the Premier League.

It’s no surprise that Chelsea could swoop for Santo given how well he adjusted to life in the Premier League, taking points off all the top six as manager of a newly promoted side.
His preferred 3-5-2 system was extremely well organised but also saw Wolves produces some devastating attacking football at times.
Sarri didn’t get the Chelsea fans on side from the off. His style was supposed to be flowing, passing football but ended up staid and Santo may able to provide a template closer to what the Blues want.
That said, why would he want to leave Molineux at such an exciting time for the club? Chelsea hire and fire at will but Wolves have shown they will back Santo with money and patience.
