Wolverhampton Wanderers-linked defender Benoit Badiashile has not travelled on AS Monaco’s pre-season tour of Portugal (Birmingham Mail).
The young Frenchman caught the eye with some excellent displays over in Ligue 1 last term, and speculation has been rife about his future in recent weeks.
Wolves have been credited with an interest, as have fellow Premier League side Manchester United.

L’Equipe had reported a couple of weeks ago that Wolves had made contact over the 18-year-old, who is valued at around £35 million by his club.
Badiashile being omitted from the club’s pre-season tour is ominous, although it’s worth pointing out he did feature for France at the European U19s Championships.
Perhaps though, it is an opportunity for him to speak with other clubs.
TBR’s view
Badiashile was a shining light for a disappointing Monaco side last term.
The 6ft 4in colossus is a strong and athletic centre-half who relishes physical battles.

With Badiashile not currently preoccupied with pre-season training, it’s a chance to perhaps make some headway with a potential transfer.
Nuno Espirito Santo really needs defensive reinforcements, with their 2019/20 season to officially get underway on Thursday with the first leg of their two Europa League qualifier against Crusaders FC.
