According to reports in Italy, Southampton defender Cedric Soares could return to England after his loan spell with Inter Milan.
Cedric is represented by Jorge Mendes and the super-agent could engineer a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
The Portugal international is an attack-minded right-back and he would fit Nuno Espirito Santo’s system perfectly.
Operating in the right-wing-back role, Cedric could hit his best form again after a disappointing season with Southampton and Inter.
But if he did move to Wolves, he would face a tough battle to get a place in the starting line-up.
Wolves’ current option at right-wing-back is Matt Doherty, who has been in stunning form for Wolves this season.
Since making the step up from the Championship to the Premier League, the Republic of Ireland international has looked at home against some top sides.
The 27-year-old has caused a persistent threat down the right flank with his pace, skill, ability to use both feet and his direct approach.
With six goals and eight assists this season, it is clear that Doherty is one of the most dangerous wing-backs in the Premier League.
If Cedric does complete a move to Molineux, he might have to settle for a place on the bench if Doherty keeps his form up.
