Wolves manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, insists that winger, Adama Traore, is happy at the club amid continued interest from Spurs.

The 23-year-old has grown into one of the key men for Wolves this season. His performances down the wing have terrorised Premier League and Europa League defences thus far.

However, Spurs are known to be keen on landing the Spaniard in the January transfer window. It was reported earlier this week that Jose Mourinho was keen on Traore, after seeing him play well for Wolves against his Spurs side last week.

But now, Wolves manager Nuno Santo has said he believes Traore to be happy at Molineux.

“He has a contract with the club and he’s happy here,” Santo said (Irish Mirror).

“He puts a lot of energy, dedication, into things and wants to improve”.

Those comments from the Wolves gaffer appear to indicate that the club hopes to keep Traore on-board. However, Nuno Santo did comment further, admitting that ‘things that happen outside, we cannot control.’

That comment in itself might well worry some Wolves fans when it comes to Traore.

Speed demon

After struggling last season, Traore has excelled this time around. Last year, he looked like being one of those typical wingers who have all the pace in the world, but no end product.

Indeed, he only registered a single goal and assist all last term. This time around, though, Traore has been on fire for the Midlanders.

Six assists to go along with four goals represents a healthy return for the 23-year-old.

TBR view

If Wolves are to keep progressing as they are, keeping hold of their best players is key.

And Traore falls firmly into that category. For the system Wolves employ, having someone with raw pace and power like the Spaniard is, in a nutshell, crucial.

They simply cannot afford to let Spurs have their way and sign Traore in January.
