Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to the future with two recent targets.
According to the print edition of The Sunday People – via HITC Sport – Wolves are interested in signing Hartlepool United duo Luca Murphy and Marcus Dinanga.
And Wolves have a chance to send scouts to watch Hartlepool’s FA Cup clash with League One side Gillingham tonight.
Murphy is yet to make his Hartlepool debut and will probably be on the bench.
But Dinanga started in the first game between Gillingham and Hartlepool, playing 77 minutes in the 0-0 draw.
The 21-year-old striker will be hoping for another start as he aims to impress.
Dinanga is currently on loan from Burton Albion but is yet to score for Hartlepool. If he can grab a goal against Gillingham, then he could be one step closer to earning a dream move to Wolves.
It will also be a good opportunity for Burton to run the rule over Dinanga.
Presumably the Brewers have high hopes for their young striker’s future but he needs to show that he can compete against League One opposition.
With the likes of Marvin Sordell, Liam Boyce, Lucas Akins and Devante Cole on their books, Nigel Clough’s men are not short up front so Dinanga needs a special performance to catch the eye.
And it will need to be a really special performance to convince Wolves that he is worth taking a gamble on.
