Wolverhampton Wanderers have won three Premier League games on the spin to move up to seventh in the table and the emergence of midfielder Leander Dendoncker has been pivotal.

The Belgian moved to Molineux on a season-long loan in the summer from Anderlecht, but the Premier League club confirmed (official website) that the deal will become permanent at the end of the campaign.

As reported by Goal, Wolves will pay just £12million to land him on a permanent basis and it’s another brilliant piece of business.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo appears to have pulled off another masterstroke by snapping up a midfield maestro for such a cheap price.

The 23-year-old had to be patient for his opportunities in the first half of the season, but he’s reaping the rewards now with consistent starts.

Dendoncker is an all-action central midfielder that has defensive qualities to his game and can break up play well.

But he’s also excellent with the ball at his feet and likes to making attacking runs forward, while he netted a stunning volley in his last game to get off the mark in front of goal.

His confidence appears to be growing every game and Wolves’ transfer business of late proves there is still value in the market.
