Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interest in Red Bull Salzburg attacker Hwang Hee-chan – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are excited about the speculation.
The Telegraph reports that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have joined the race for the forward alongside other Premier League and European teams.
It is explains that the 23-year-old is considered one of the club’s “prime targets” and that he would cost roughly between £16.9million and £21.1million due to a release clause.
The report adds that the West Midlands club are set to make a move for him next summer, but could try negotiate a move in January that sees the player return to Austrian champions Salzburg on loan for the rest of this season.
Hwang has made himself known to English audiences with his eye-catching displays against Liverpool in the Champions League group stages.
The South Korean is part of an exciting Salzburg attacker and he managed to score as well as assist a goal on his trip to Anfield.
He’s a speed machine that has been directly involved in 25 goals in just 22 games across all competitions so far this campaign.
The centre-forward is renowned for his quick dribbling and it looks like he could be ideal competition for Diogo Jota if he moves to Molineux.
A selection of Wolves supporters on social media believe that the Salzburg star ticks all the boxes for them and feel he could be a brilliant target.
Here are some Wolves fans over the moon with the Hwang speculation:
Baller tbf probably more of a nuno type player than cutrone who I could see going back to Italy even though I wouldn’t want him to

Diogo, Hwang left sided options, Raul Cutrone central options, Adama, Neto right sided options. Potentially unreal depth across the front line, just need to sort out the defence now

I was honestly thinking this yesterday watching the two players. Thinking of fosun. Top player

Fits our style of play perfectly, would be a coup if we could get him.
