Wolves fans think Nuno Espirito Santo is perfect for Everton, amid reports
Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly the front runner to replace Carlo Ancelotti at Everton this summer. Ancelotti made the surprise, and sudden move to rejoin Real Madrid following Zinedine Zidane’s exit. Now, Wolves fans have discussed Santo at Everton – and they think it is the perfect move.
Santo confirmed he would be leaving Wolves at the end of his contract. Now the season has come to an end, the Portuguese gaffer will see his Wolves contract expire this month. He is said to be on pole position for the Everton job – with the gaffer being offered to Everton according to AS.
The ex-Valencia and Porto manager is renowned for taking Wolves back into the Premier League. Under the helpful influence of Jorge Mendes, Santo established Wolves as a Premier League club again – taking them into the quarter-finals of the Europa League. But he has struggled this season.
What are Wolves fans saying about Santo at Everton?
The loss of Diogo Jota to Liverpool and the head injury suffered by Raul Jimenez hampered Wolves in the final third. Fabio Silva and Willian Jose were unable to reproduce the effect of both Jimenez and Jota and it saw Wolves finish in a lowly 13th place. Everton fans have their reservations.
But Wolves supporters think a move to Everton for what many consider to be the club’s best ever manager makes sense. One Wolves fan sees Everton threatening the top four, if they hire Santo.
