Wolves fans rip into ‘uninterested’ Ruben Neves after Huddersfield defeat

Ruben Neves completed 90 minutes in the defeat to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night – and many Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Twitter ripped him to shreds for his performance.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side turned in arguably their worst performance of the season, as they were beaten 1-0 on the road in the Premier League.

Hosts Huddersfield scored in stoppage time through Steve Mounie to earn three points and give the team bottom of the table a boost.

Wolves missed the opportunity to leapfrog seventh-placed Watford and were dealt a blow in their push for a European finish.

They were unbeaten in their previous five league fixtures and will need to lift themselves before they host Cardiff City at Molineux in their next game.

A selection of Wolves fans on social media singled out Neves for his performance and believe that he was miles off his usual standard.

The 21-year-old central midfielder is an ever-present in the team and has made a strong step up to the top flight, but was unable to enforce his passing style on the game like usual.
