Wolves fans respond to interest in midfielder Kerem Demirbay

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter seem pleased with the speculation.

The West Midlands club are interested in the 25-year-old ahead of the summer (Calciomercato), as manager Nuno Espirito Santo begins to line up potential targets.

It is understood that West Ham are also keen on the German ace, while Italian club AC Milan held previous interest in him.

Demirbay has been a regular starter for Bundesliga club Hoffenheim this campaign and did feature in the Champions League group stages.

The central midfielder can make a difference in the final third, with four goals and nine assists in 29 games across all competitions this campaign.

Wolves’ success this season in front of goal has largely come down to strikers Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota, who have 24 goals across all competitions between them.

Meanwhile, adventurous right-back Matt Doherty has weighed in with seven goals and seven assists.

But there is a lack of a serious goal threat from the centre of the park, despite the quality of playmakers Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves.
