Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with Valencia attacker Maxi Gomez – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by claiming he would be a great signing for them.
According to the Daily Mail, Wolves and Premier League rivals Arsenal are among the club monitoring the 24-year-old.
It is claimed that Spanish club Valencia are likely to sell him in either January or the summer in a bid to help raise funds.
The report explains that the Uruguay international has a £125million release clause with Valencia, but they will consider offers for his sale at a much lower price.
With first-choice striker Raul Jimenez currently sidelined as he recovers from his head injury, reports suggest Wolves are looking at bringing in another option in the final third.
Gomez has a fairly decent record of 43 goals in 114 La Liga appearances and he’s someone who possesses a lot of potential.
He is an old fashioned centre-forward that is great in the air and a real physical presence in attack, plus he often shows iniellient movement in the penalty area.

A selection of Wolves supporters on social media have been extremely upbeat about speculation regarding the Valencia frontman and feel he could be a great addition at Molineux.
