Wolves are on the brink of converting striker Raul Jimenez’s loan deal into a permanent deal, according to the Telegraph.
They report that the Old Gold are close to agreeing a £25m fee for the Mexican hitman after a hugely impressive loan spell from Benfica, in his maiden Premier League campaign, with negotiations at an advanced stage.
The official announcement is apparently set to come before the end of the season, and will smash the transfer record Wolves set last summer when they signed Adama Traore from Middlesbrough.
Talks have apparently progressed rapidly in recent weeks, which is a boost after Jimenez once more proved his worth to Wolves with a match-winning performance against Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup last time out.

And unsurprisingly after a season in which Jimenez has taken Wolves’ attack to another level, the club’s supporters are absolutely thrilled.
Their club is once more showing the ambition needed to take the club forward and the signing of Jimenez has gone down a storm…
