Wolves fans react to performance of Joao Moutinho during Arsenal victory
The Portuguese star rolled back the years as the Gunners were brushed aside.
Wolves secured a superb victory against Arsenal to go sixth in the Premier League. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men won 2-1 courtesy of goals from Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence.
Arsenal did equalise through Gabriel but a well-organised Wolves outfit weren’t to be denied at the Emirates Stadium.
Things got off to a bad start for the visitors when Raul Jimenez picked up a nasty-looking head injury and was forced off the pitch on a stretcher.
That seemed to drive Wolves on though and they ensured Arsenal were second best on their own pitch for large parts of the game.

One man who rolled back the years for Wolves was Joao Moutinho.
He marshalled the midfield magnificently and showcased exactly what his experience brings to the Wolves team.
The 34-year-old signed for the West Midlands-based outfit in 2018 from Monaco and has become an integral part of Santo’s team.
He has made 110 appearances for the club, although this season he hasn’t always started games.
Moutinho made his sixth start against the Gunners last night and a few more could be in the offing after his professional performance.
The £100,000-a-week maestro has played 127 times for Portugal and right now he looks an important player for Wolves.
Here is what supporters were saying about his performance against Arsenal.
What a sterling performance given the circumstances. Moutinho back to his best, Neto unplayable, Podence ace and Silva very promising. Few hairy moments at the back but to be expected given the new formation. All thoughts remain with @Raul_Jimenez9. #wwfc
