Pedro Neto made his debut on Wednesday night for Portugal’s senior team – and some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Twitter hailed their attacker for his performance.
Neto, 20, is one of several Portuguese stars currently playing at Molineux and he earned his first senior cap for his country in midweek during a 7-0 demolition of Andorra.
The left-footed winger played the opening 45 minutes of the international friendly before being replaced at half-time and he opened the scoring in emphatic fashion.
He made it a debut to remember with his goal, as he fired in a powerful left-footed finish from close-range to complete a great team move and he looked a threat in the final third during the first-half.

A selection of Wolves supporters on social media were blown away by Neto’s display in a Portugal shirt, which is an indication of how far he’s developed in the last year and the huge potential he possesses.
Neto is a rising talent that the Wolves fanbase are well aware of, but he’s perhaps still a little under the radar in terms of Premier League audiences.
The young speed machine that has already made himself a nailed-on starter for Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves side and has shown he’s got the versatility to play anywhere across the frontline.
