Wolves fans react to latest Patrick Cutrone display

Patrick Cutrone played 90 minutes for Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter praised him.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side had to progress from the third round on penalties against Championship opponents Reading.

Bruno Jordao gave Wolves the lead at Molineux in the first-half, but the match was sent to penalties when Lucas Boyle netted a stoppage time equaliser at Molineux.

The West Midlands club travel to Aston Villa in the next round of the competition and supporters would surely love a decent run in the cup.

A selection of Wolves supporters on social media picked out Cutrone for his display and the fanbase remains firmly behind the summer signing from AC Milan.

The 21-year-old spearheaded the attack against Reading and did grab himself an assist, but may have been left disappointed that he was unable to score.

He showed once again his incredible work-rate in the final third, but the closest he came to netting was an effort in the first-half saved by the goalkeeper.

The Italian has arrived to provide competition for Raul Jimenez at striker, but so far has just one goal from his 11 appearances across all competitions.

It does seem though like he’s got the Molineux faithful on his side and he just needs a couple of goals to fully ignite his season.
