Ivan Cavaleiro was the hero for Fulham in the Championship on Friday night – and some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans reacted on Twitter to his match-winning performance.
The 25-year-old attacker joined Fulham from Wolves this summer on a season-long loan, which includes the option to buy at the end of the campaign (BBC).
Cavaleiro has dropped down to the Championship for more regular minutes and he’s started the opening three league fixtures.
The rapid winger scored a late winning goal for Fulham on Friday in a 2-1 victory away to Huddersfield Town.
He picked up the ball just inside the box and bent the ball into the far top corner with his favoured right foot.
Cavaleiro is still a Wolves player for now and the loanee got off the mark with an eye-catching strike in the Championship.
He’s shown he can be a hit in England’s second-tier after achieving promotion at Molineux to the top-flight, but it didn’t quite happen for him last season.
The dazzling wide man played just 29 times across all competitions for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team and scored five goals, which has eventually led to his departure.
A selection of Wolves supporters on social media reacted to Cavaleiro’s goal and several are convinced he should have been kept in the squad.
Here are some Wolves fans on Cavaleiro:
Should of kept him for another season

Cracking goal … Loved Cav but he just wasn’t consistent enough 😢

Brilliant finish Ivan. Probably wouldn’t have let him go but waste of his ability if he’s going to be sat on the bench.
