Wolves fans react to Europa League draw against Olympiacos

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been draw against Olympiacos in the last 16 of the Europa League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have given their instant response to the draw.

Wolves beat Spanish opposition Espanyol 6-3 on aggregate over two legs in the Round of 32 to continue their European adventure this season.

They will now prepare to face Greek outfit Olympiacos, who knocked out Premier League side Arsenal in the previous round.

Olympiacos knocked out Arsenal via the away goal rule after a 2-2 aggregate scoreline, but it was their impressive win at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night that sealed their progression.

Wolves will travel to Greece for the first leg on 12 March and will have the advantage of the second leg at Molineux a week later.

A selection of Wolves supporters on social media are thrilled by their draw against Olympiacos and are excited by the fixture.

It’s set to be a special pair of matches for Portuguese attacker Daniel Podence, who left Olympiacos in the January transfer window to make a £16.6million (BBC) move to Molineux.

He impressed for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in midweek against Espanyol and will surely desperate to play against his former team in the next round.
