Wolves fans react to Daniel Podence’s display against Everton

Wolverhampton Wanderers ran out 3-0 winners against Everton on Sunday to keep their European hopes alive.

The Black Country club enjoyed an easy afternoon at Molineux, with Raul Jimenez, Pedro Neto and Diogo Jota providing the goals for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

The results means Wolves are now just four points off fourth-placed Leicester City, with the Foxes in action against relegation-threatened Bournemouth tonight.

One man who very much caught the eye against Everton was winger Daniel Podence.

The Portuguese star, chosen to play on the right at the expense of the much talked about Adama Traore, was a constant threat for the home side.

The £16.6 million January arrival from Olympiakos (BBC Sport), was the man responsible for winning the penalty for Jimenez to convert, and he was constantly looking to dribble and drive forwards.

At one point he nearly opened his account for the club, a second-half effort almost squirming under Jordan Pickford.

It was a very positive display from the diminutive trickster who eventually left the action to be replaced by Traore, and many Wolves fans on social media were left purring:
