The Sun have claimed that super agent Jorge Mendes held talks with Arsenal over a possible move that could have taken Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo to Arsenal to replace Mikel Arteta – and Wolves fans have responded.
Santo has been at Wolves since the summer of 2017, taking charge of 177 games and winning 88 of them. He has taken the Midlands outfit back into the Premier League and into European football during his time in charge.
But Wolves are out of Europe and really struggling in the Premier League following an injury sustained by Raul Jimenez. Santo has seen his side win just one of their last eight Premier League games, a 2-1 win over Chelsea.

The Sun’s report claims that Santo’s agent Mendes – renowned for orchestrating many of Wolves’ dealings in the transfer window including an influx of Portuguese talent to the club – has held talks with Arsenal over Santo’s future.
Arteta, meanwhile, has turned Arsenal’s form around – winning the last four matches, three in the Premier League against Chelsea, Brighton and West Brom and then in the FA Cup against Newcastle. But form was poor beforehand.
Wolves supporters have responded on Twitter to the reports that Santo’s agent Mendes has held talks with Arsenal over a potential move to replace Arteta – and that he could be open to leaving Molineux for La Liga.
