Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Willy Boly has ruled out any chance of swapping the Midlands for north London and joining Arsenal this summer – and Wolves fans have reacted on Twitter.
Boly, 29, has become somewhat of a favourite at Molineux since initially joining the club on loan from Porto in the Championship – before that deal became permanent after promotion. He has clocked up 105 Wolves outings.
A £10million signing from Porto in 2018 (Telegraph), Boly has become renowned as one of the Premier League’s best centre-backs outside of the so-called top six. He has entered the final 12 months of his contract.
Asked to join Arsenal by a supporter during a Q&A session with BeIN Sports, Boly instantly ruled out a move to the Emirates this summer – but joked that if all Wolves players moved to Arsenal, he would join the Gunners.

“No, never. Arsenal is a very good team – everybody can see that. but, on paper, we are not afraid of Arsenal. I don’t have to go to Arsenal. Maybe if all the team goes there, I would probably be there,” Boly said.
Wolves supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that Boly has ruled out a move to Arsenal when asked by a supporter to join the Gunners – and many are both relieved, and have praised the 6ft 4in ace.
