Wolves fans react as Roderick Miranda leaves on loan

Roderick Miranda has left Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan. Wolves have announced that Roderick has joined Portuguese top-flight side FC Famalicao on loan until the end of the season.

Famalicao have just been promoted to the Primeira Liga and have bolstered their defence with the signing of Roderick. The 28-year-old had not played a single game for Wolves this season and Nuno Espirito Santo has decided he is surplus to requirements.

Last season, Roderick spent the year on loan at Olympiacos. He has made a total of 19 Wolves appearances, all of which came in their promotion-winning campaign, but his future at Molineux looks increasingly bleak.

Wolves fans have questioned the decision to allow the Portuguese defender to leave. Nuno is working with a tight-knit squad but he needs more depth this season with the added demands of the Europa League.

And with Willy Boly out for the next game after the international break, Nuno is short on options. But he has still sanctioned Roderick’s loan exit. With his contract expiring in 2021, he faces a battle to save his Wolves future.
