Wolves fans react as report suggests Real Madrid could take back Jesus Vallejo

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been reacting on social media to speculation that Jesus Vallejo could return to Real Madrid early.

The defender is on a season-long loan at Molineux, but has made just seven appearances in all competitions so far.

The Spaniard has struggled to break into Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting XI.

In recent weeks the manager has opted to use the likes of Leander Dendoncker, Romain Saiss and even Matt Doherty at centre-half, with Willy Boly injured.

Real have been hoping to see Vallejo get regular minutes in order to prepare him for the 2020/21 season.

It is apparently their plan to use him as their fourth-choice central defender.

But they could now move to recall him according to Defensa Central and send him elsewhere for the second half of the current season.

The general consensus appears to be that Vallejo’s potential early exit would not be a big deal.

During his time with the Midlands club he has struggled to prove himself better than any of the others, and his lack of game time would suggest a lack of trust from the manager.
