Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly open to the idea selling Adama Traore at the end of the season – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter claim they wouldn’t mind letting him go.
According to the Daily Mail, Wolves are prepared to listen to offers for the 25-year-old in the upcoming summer transfer window.
It is explained that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are “likely” to sell at least one key player in a bid to raise transfer funds to strengthen their squad as a whole.
The report details that they’ll have to accept much lower than the £70million price tag they previously placed on him.
The Mail’s report adds they would be hoping to get around £45million for him, which is a fee that Liverpool paid for Diogo Jota.
Traore, who earns £43,000-a-week, is a right-winger renowned for being a speed machine and a real powerhouse in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old can ghost past defenders like they are not there, but he’s had a problem with end product.
He’s scored just one goal in 30 appearances across all competitions this season, which came in the FA Cup against Crystal Palace in January.
A selection of Wolves supporters on social media believe that selling Traore this summer could be a sensible move.
He’s one of the most eye-catching players in the division, but often flatters to deceive.
Here are some Wolves fans discussing the Traore speculation:
If I had to sell anyone this summer out l, traore, neves, Neto I’d sell traore. And replace him with someone who can score a few goals https://t.co/HPRxv7Euxk

Sell and get a winger that can score goals and get more than a handful of assists a season…. and oh. The biggest point. Won’t slow an attack down by walking with the ball then running out of play!!!!!!! I’m all for it ✅ https://t.co/c6s9vgX8LJ

If we can get around £30-40 million for him and properly invest in a first team replacement, I wouldn’t be mad. I love Traore but you need goals from your wingers. Look at players like Barnes, Grealish, Neto, even Raphinha. Your wingers know where the back of the net is.

That’s fine. He’s good but doesn’t score anyways. Time to get what we can and find the next young star.

I'd sell, not consistent enough, plus he runs into cul de sacs and so often loses possession because he gets his feet tangled, we need new blood throughout the spine of the team in my opinion, you can't blame Raul being out, I mean look at Neto he's a world class winger
