Wolves fans rave about ‘beast’ Leander Dendoncker after Belgium performance

Leander Dendoncker completed 90 minutes for Belgium in a European Championship qualifier on Thursday night – and many Wolverhampton Wanderers fans hailed him for his international performance.

Belgium kicked off their qualifying campaign with a 3-1 home victory over Russia and they will be one of the favourites for the 2020 tournament.

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard got on the scoresheet twice for the hosts, while Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans also netted.

Dendoncker started in the heart of midfield alongside Tielemans and the young pair looked comfortable against last year’s World Cup hosts.

Dendoncker, 23, has made a great impression at Wolves this season during his first year in England and replicated his form on the international stage.

The central midfielder is a no-nonsense enforcer that helps break up play in front of the defence and also distribute the ball quickly forward.

Some Wolves fans were delighted to see Dendoncker once again put in a decent performance and it’s the kind of form that has seen him break into the team at club level.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo was patient with the midfielder in the early stages of the season, but he’s now a permanent fixture in the team and cemented his spot with some consistent displays.

Here are some of the Wolves fans praising Dendoncker for his latest outing:
