Wolverhampton Wanderers were disappointing in their FA Cup win on Friday night against non-league Chorley – but some of the club’s fans on Twitter did praise their star Willy Boly for his individual performance.
Wolves secured a narrow 1-0 victory away to Nations League North side Chorley, with Vitinha’s superb 30-yard goal securing progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup for the Premier League outfit.
Despite playing a team in the sixth-tier of English football, Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves managed just one shot on target throughout the entire 90 minutes.
They came under pressure at certain points in the game too and goalkeeper John Ruddy had to pull off a couple of eye-catching saves to help avoid a cup upset.

A selection of Wolves supporters on social media felt that outfield player Boly deserved credit amid some underwhelming displays from some of his teammates.
The 29-year-old French centre-back was perhaps called into action more times than he would have expected, but he was dominant in the air defending his own box.
He was a real presence in the backline throughout, showing calmness in possession and a defensive instinct to mix it with Chorley’s physical attackers.
Here are some Wolves fans discussing Boly’s latest contribution:
