Wolverhampton Wanderers recorded a 0-0 draw away to Aston Villa on Saturday evening – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter picked out usual suspect Pedro Neto as their bright spark.
Wolves had to settle for a point on their trip to Villa Park during a Midlands derby in the Premier League.
It was a contest where hosts Villa were well on top in the first half, which continued the trend of Wolves starting slowly in games.
But the visitors woke up in the second period and wasted a couple of clear goalscoring opportunities, including one where Romain Saiss somehow put the ball over the crossbar when he was all-but two yards from goal.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are 12th in the league table and a long way clear of the relegation zone, but at the same team catching the teams above in the European spots looks a big ask.
A selection of Wolves supporters on social media named Neto as their standout individual.
The 20-year-old attacker was once again a positive for his side with his intent in the final third.
He is a left-footed wide player that has been a shining light all season at Molineux and he saw one shot well saved by goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, as well as putting in some excellent crosses.
Here are some Wolves fans discussing Neto:
Feel sorry for Neto has no support from the other forwards.

We all need to stop tweeting about Pedro Neto.
He’s already drawing plenty of attention with these endless standout performances and it’s going to be hard enough keeping him as it is. If we’re quiet, the giants might let us keep him. 😅
(But seriously, what a talent…) #wwfc
