Wolves fans pleased with interest in James Tarkowski

Wolves are reportedly interested in Burnley defender James Tarkowski – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are keen on the idea of bringing him back to Molineux.

According to the Times, the West Midlands club have approached their Premier League rivals about the 26-year-old.

The report details that the centre-back is in demand this summer, with Leicester City and Everton potential rivals for his signature.

It is understood that Burnley expect to make a “huge profit” on the £3million they paid for him in 2016 to sign him from Brentford.

Tarkowski is one of the outstanding individuals at Turf Moor, where he’s built up his reputation as a no-nonsense defender.

He’s a physical presence that is strong in the air, while he can play out from the back too under pressure.

The two-time capped England international has been involved in Gareth Southgate’s group before due to his consistent top-flight displays.

A selection of Wolves fans are convinced that the Englishman is an excellent target for them.

He would add healthy competition for the centre-back spots in the back three, where Conor Coady, Willy Boly and Ryan Bennett are currently the preferred combination.
