Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal centre-forward Danny Welbeck – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have reacted negatively to the speculation.
According to the Evening Standard, Wolves are one of five Premier League teams that are keen on signing the Gunners attacker this summer, when his contract at the Emirates Stadium expires.
Wolves are believed to be joined by Everton, West Ham, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace in the hunt for him.
It is understood that it’s Everton that are in pole position though to take him to Goodiosn Park on a free transfer.
The report further explains that the Merseyside club may be prepared to give him an increase on his current £100,000-a-week Arsenal contract.
Wolves go into next season knowing that they have qualified after finishing seventh in the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side could do with some more attacking options to bolster their thin squad.

Welbeck, 28, is a versatile attacher that can play striker or out wide and has the potential to slot into Wolves’ two-man attack.
But the Englishman has a torrid record of injuries throughout his career and has only managed 14 appearances this season due to an ankle problem.
A selection of Wolves fans aren’t convinced he could do a job at Molineux next year and that they should pull the plug on their reported interest.
Here are some Wolves fans that are not pleased with the Welbeck rumuors:
