Following on from England’s international success at youth and senior level, this season has seen Young Lions seize their opportunities both in the Premier League and beyond.
Wolves starlet Morgan Gibbs-White has had to be patient in pursuit of first team opportunities at a club where manager Nuno Santo does not tend to make many changes to his side.
But as the suspensions begin to kick in and the festive season begins to bite, the 18 year old will surely get chances in the first team and made his first top flight start against Chelsea in midweek.
He was exceptional in the absence of Ruben Neves and would have had every right to be disappointed that he was dropped to the bench for yesterday’s trip to face Newcastle.

The game was level 1-1 at half time after a very even first half but DeAndre Yedlin’s red card in the opening stages of the second period, Wolves were able to grab the initiative and go in search of back to back wins.
That led to the introduction of Gibbs-White and his energy offered his side a spark against the tiring Magpies; eventually the pressure told.
Diogo Jota’s mazy run set up Matt Doherty’s stoppage-time winner, but there was plenty of praise for Gibbs-White, who altered the complexion of the game and continues to go from strength to strength…
