Wolves fans hail Leander Dendoncker for his performance against Crystal Palace

Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on Friday night in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter picked out Leander Dendoncker as a star performer.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side moved up to third in the league table after earning three points at Molineux and are now starting to find some real form after a slow start to the season.

Rayan Ait-Nouri opened the scoring in the 18th minute on his Wolves debut, as he hit a first-time strike to break the deadlock.

Daniel Podence added a second shortly after with a finish at the back post, while Luka Milivojevic was shown a red card late on in the contest for his challenge on Joao Moutinho.

A selection of Wolves supporters on social media singled out Dendoncker for his all-action display in the centre of the park and were majorly impressed with his contribution.

The 25-year-old central midfielder showed a tremendous work-rate to get around the entire pitch to provide some defensive steel, plus going forward he went close to scoring on a couple of occasions and at one stage saw an effort rattle the crossbar.

He appears to be a nailed-on starter at present in Nuno’s XI and has found a purple patch of form.
