Joao Moutinho continued his impressive start to the new season in the win over Crusaders on Thursday night – and some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Twitter praised him for his performance.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have kicked off their competitive season with a two-legged tie against Northern Irish outfit Crusaders in a Europa League second qualifying round.
The West Midlands club won the first leg at Molineux 2-0, where Moutinho managed to supplying his first assists of the campaign.
After conceding an early goal on Thursday night, Wolves strolled to a 4-1 victory and progressed to the next European qualifying round 6-1 on aggregate.
Moutinho weighed in with two assists in his latest outing and has carried on from his good form last year.
The experienced Portuguese ace has been a major hit since he moved to Molineux last summer and found no problem adapting to English football.
He is a central midfielder that usually takes on a box-to-box role and is an ever-present in Nuno’s XI.
The 32-year-old is extremely consistent with deliveries from set-pieces and offers a decent attacking threat from the centre of the park.
