Dion Sanderson made his senior debut in the defeat to Aston Villa on Wednesday night – and some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Twitter hailed their teenager for his performance.
The 19-year-old was part of an inexperienced Wolves side put out by manager Nuno Espirito Santo in the last-16 of the Carabao Cup.
Wolves suffered a 2-1 away defeat against top-flight rivals Aston Villa, who they face again in the Premier League in November.
Anwar El Ghazi put hosts Villa in front in the first-half, but striker Patrick Cutrone did response with an equaliser at the beginning of the season period.
Villa booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the competition with an Ahmed Elmohamady goal and the experience on the pitch for them showed.

A selection of Wolves supporters on social media picked out Sanderson for immense praise for his debut.
The 19-year-old caught the eye on his first senior appearance and looks to be a real talent that has come through the academy.
He is an athletic defender that is a centre-back by trade, but slotted in as a right wing-back in the cup fixture.
Sanderson did have a tough battle against Villa’s tricky winger Trezeguet, but he wasn’t disgraced and will hope for more first-team chances moving forward.
