Adama Traore completed 90 minutes in the win over Northern Irish team Crusaders on Thursday night – and some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Twitter raved about their player.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side earned a 2-0 victory in their first competitive game of the 2019/20 campaign.
The West Midlands club have a decent lead after a first leg victory in a Europa League second round qualifier.
Diogo Jota scored a first-half goal with a powerful finish and defender Ruben Vinagre scored in stoppage time after a goalkeeping mistake, which means they will have an advantage on aggregate ahead of the second leg next Thursday.
Nuno’s team dominated possession against minnows Crusaders, but their opponents defended well in large spells and the hosts struggled to make too many clear opportunities.
The Premier League side were expected to win heavily, but will have to make do with a 2-0 lead ahead of the second leg against Crusaders and players are still getting up to full speed.
A selection of Wolves supporters on social media felt Traore was a real bright spark in the club’s first European game since 1980.
The 23-year-old Spaniard has been converted into a right wing-back and has started to look extremely effective in that position.
He is a speed machine that was on the front foot during the entire game against Crusaders and he provided the assist with his deep cross for Jota.
Here are some Wolves fans on Traore:
