Wolves fans don’t want to allow Ruben Vinagre exit amid Lyon interest

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ruben Vinagre is reportedly on the radar of Lyon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter don’t want to allow his exit.

According to O Jogo, French club Lyon are on the search for a new left-back following Ferland Mendy’s move to big spenders Real Madrid.

The report details that the Ligue 1 side are eyeing a loan deal with an option to buy and they will have the appeal of Champions League football.

Vinagre is an exciting young talent at Molineux that is a rapid left-back who bombs forward into attack and he is the understudy to Jonny Otto Castro in the Wolves squad.

The 20-year-old made 21 appearances across all competitions last season and certainly looked more than capable in the first team.

A selection of Wolves fans are adamant it would be wrong to offload their promising talent and believe he will play a key role moving forward next season.

He is an attack-minded full-back that should get more opportunities next season, as Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad will be competing in four competitions after qualifying for the Europa League.

Here are some of the Wolves fans commenting on Vinagre:
