Wolves fans discuss Crystal Palace's signing of Joachim Andersen, some frustrated
Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Joachim Andersen as Patrick Vieira earns praise for his and Dougie Freedman’s work this summer. The Denmark international was excellent for Fulham last season. Now, Andersen joins Palace and Wolves fans are frustrated on Twitter.
Andersen, 25, clocked up 31 appearances for Fulham while on loan from Lyon last season. While the Denmark defender failed to prevent the Cottagers going down, he was instantly given the captain’s armband by Scott Parker. He was one of Fulham’s best in a difficult season.
What are Wolves fans saying as Palace complete a deal to sign Andersen this summer?
It is enough to have convinced Palace to move. The Standard say Palace have added Andersen to Michael Olise and Marc Guehi for just £14.9million up front, and £2.1million more in add-ons. Palace needed defenders, with Scott Dann, Gary Cahill and Mamadou Sakho leaving on a free.
But Wolves fans are frustrated on Twitter. Many wish their club had considered a move to sign the Fulham loanee from Lyon, with Wolves likely to be looking at central defenders if Bruno Lage continues Nuno Espirito Santo’s back three system. Many Wolves fans wished they had beaten Palace to the signing of Andersen.
