Ryan Bennett started in the defeat to Watford on New Year’s Day – and some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Twitter were left fuming with the performance of their defender Ryan Bennett.
The 29-year-old played in the 2-1 away loss at Watford in the Premier League, which meant they stayed seventh in the division standings and missed the opportunity to go fifth.
Gerard Deulofeu and Abdoulaye Doucoure scored first-half goals for Watford, who managed to hold on to three points despite losing Christian Kabasele to a red card.
Pedro Neto’s goal for Wolves wasn’t enough to get a result and they followed up their Liverpool defeat with another loss.

A selection of Wolves supporters on media were not happy with Bennett after his contribution against Watford on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old centre-back was caught out defensively on a number of occasions and his lack of pace was exposed by Deulofeu.
His return to the side has coincided with two defeats and his previous league start before that was back in October.
