Defender Jesus Vallejo made his Wolverhampton Wanderers debut on Thursday night in the Europa League – and some of the club’s supporters were impressed by his performance.

The Premier League outfit completed a 4-0 home victory over Armenian side FC Pyunik, which saw them progress 8-0 on aggregate over two legs in their Europa League third round qualifying tie.

With his team already 4-0 up from the first leg, manager Nuno Espirito Santo made nine changes to his team from the opening day of the Premier League.

A new-look Wolves impressed at Molineux with a comprehensive win on Thursday and there were four different goalscorer in the second-half.

Pedro Neto, Morgan Gibbs-White, Ruben Vinagre and Diogo Jota all got on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Vallejo made his first appearance for Wolves since he joined this summer on a season-long loan from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old is a young centre-back that showcased his brilliant range of passing on a fairly comfortable evening against Pyunik and slotted in seamlessly to a back three.

The Spanish loanee will have to break a trusted combination of Willy Boly, Conor Coady and Ryan Bennett in defence if he wants chances in the league.
