Wolves fans amazed by Vitinha performance in West Brom draw

Wolverhampton Wanderers recorded a 1-1 draw away to bitter rivals West Brom on Monday – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter picked out their star Vitinha after his individual performance.

Wolves left the Hawthorns with a point in the Premier League fixture, but will feel they should’ve won the game after 20 attempts.

18-year-old forward Fabio Silva opened the scoring for the visitors on the stroke of half time, as he received the fortune that his performance deserved when the ball cannoned off his standing foot into the net.

Mbaye Diagne’s header drew level West Brom in the 62nd minute, but the game finished level and the Baggies look destined for relegation due to the fact they need to win all four of their remaining games, which even then wouldn’t guarantee safety.

A selection of Wolves fans on social media believe that Vitinha was the standout individual on the pitch.

The 21-year-old has spent most of the campaign on the bench having to make do with small came appearances, but he started yesterday against West Brom.

He was instrumental in the build-up to Silva’s goal, and the attacking midfielder was someone who looked the biggest creative threat with some great moments in the final third.

The Portuguese youngster is on a season-long loan at Molineux, but his deal does include the option to make it permanent (official website).
