Wolves duo Jota and Traore can exploit Cardiff’s leaky defence

After their bright start to the season, Wolverhampton Wanderers have not picked up a win since early October.

They are currently on a run of five games without a win – four of which have been losses – and this is something Nuno Espirito Santo will be eager to reverse when they travel to Cardiff City tomorrow night.

Cardiff sit in 19th place in the Premier League and they have already conceded 26 goals in 13 games.

Wolves will hope to exploit the Bluebirds’ leaky defence but they might need to make some changes of their own.

Nuno needs to freshen up his starting line-up and this could bring about a change of personnel in attack.

While Raul Jimenez should remain as the centre-forward, in absence of a worthy replacement, Nuno should alternate his wingers.

It is time to recall Diogo Jota and Adama Traore in place of Helder Costa and Ivan Cavaleiro.

Both Costa and Cavaleiro struggled to break down a resolute Huddersfield defence and this could open the door for Jota and Traore.

One of the main weaknesses in Cardiff’s back line is their lack of pace.

With Sol Bamba, Bruno Ecuele Manga and Sean Morrison, Cardiff have three defenders who are strong in the air but they are all slow.

With Traore’s blistering pace and Jota’s deceptive agility, Wolves should be able to penetrate Cardiff’s defence.
