‘The real deal’: Wolves fans react as Diogo Jota stars during Europa League win

The 22-year-old was in fine form as Nuno Espirito’s men completed a comfortable first-leg victory.

Wolverhampton Wanderers took one step towards the play-off stage of the Europa League with a 4-0 win over Pyunik.

Wolves completed their emphatic rout thanks to a Raul Jiminez brace and goals from Matt Doherty and Ruben Neves.

The result was never really in any doubt and Nuno Espirito Santo’s team will now cast one eye towards the next round.

Awaiting them in the next stage could be Serie A outfit, Torino. They hold a five-goal advantage going into the second leg of their game with FC Shakhtyor.

Wolves look in good nick ahead of the new campaign and will hope to improve on their seventh-place finish last time around.

Santo has built an inspiring squad and they boast some of the brightest young talents in European football within their ranks.

A European cup run would be the stuff dreams are made of for their supporters.

They will hope to comfortably progress and then set up a mouthwatering tie with the Italian hopefuls.

His three assists gave Wolves the catalyst for such a comprehensive win and also earned the £55,000-a-week magician praise from the supporters.
