After an outstanding start to the season, Helder Costa appears to currently be out of favour at Leeds United.
The winger has not featured in either of the Whites’ last two games – not even making the bench against Newcastle – and his last start came at Crystal Palace in early November.

Costa has more recently been impressing for the under-23s. But it appears that he may have a tall order on his hands trying to get back up the pecking order given the depth Leeds currently have out wide.
It may be a worrying time for the £15 million signing from Wolves (fee reported by Leeds Live). But he undoubtedly has the quality to win his place back in the coming weeks.
However, following reports this month, perhaps there may soon be a scenario which sees Costa face an even tougher task trying to get into the side – thanks to his former club.

According to a report from 90min, Leeds are monitoring Adama Traore. Traore’s Molineux future is looking uncertain. Contract talks have stalled, and it now appears that the Whites are keeping an eye on the situation.
In truth, it would be a big surprise if Leeds signed Traore anytime soon. As noted by 90min, Wolves would want around £40 million for him.
But if he did arrive at Elland Road, it would surely be a further blow to Costa. Bielsa is likely to give a £40 million signing every chance to cement his spot in the team once he is up to speed.
Meanwhile, the club also have the likes of Jack Harrison, Raphinha and Ian Poveda available. There is a further raft of players who also have the ability to play out wide if needed.
As things stand, Costa is surely the player who will suffer most if Traore arrived.
Of course, the situation could change quite dramatically before a move is even possible. As already mentioned, Costa was a revelation in the first couple of weeks of the season.
But there is no question that the links with a marquee winger signing could surely add to the pressure the Portuguese is currently under.
