Wolves boss Gary O’Neil has shared what Tottenham Hotspur insiders have told him about Ange Postecoglou.

O’Neil spoke on Monday Night Football and watched Spurs beat Fulham 2-0 in North London.

Goals from Heung-Min Son and James Maddison handed Tottenham yet another three points. The win saw Spurs move back above Arsenal and Manchester City to the top of the Premier League table.

It’s fair to say that Ange Postecoglou has made quite the impact in his first few months in England and has transformed Spurs into an entertaining side.

And Gary O’Neil claims that people at Spurs have told him Postecoglou is ‘uncompromising’ in his approach.

Speaking on Sky Sports before Tottenham beat Fulham last night, O’Neil discussed Postecoglou’s start to life at Spurs.

The Wolves boss admitted he’s been impressed with Tottenham’s style of play and shared what he’s been told about Postecoglou.

“I know a few people at Spurs and I have spoken to a few of them about the work that is going on and Ange is just uncompromising in what he wants,” O’Neil said.

“He will not change for anybody. They are going to go about it their way and they won’t think ‘Oh it’s Man City today we’re going to come off of this’.

“It’s going to be his way no matter what and without the ball, they are unbelievably aggressive, just go after everybody no matter what.”

O’Neil’s comments shouldn’t come as a massive surprise for Spurs fans given their performances so far this season.

Postecoglou has already shown he will set his sides up to play the way he sees fit, regardless of the opposition.

Indeed, Tottenham made the short trip across North London and picked up a 2-2 draw at Arsenal last month.

Spurs were fully deserving of the point and were particularly brave on the ball on the day.

Tottenham fans have had to endure some pretty dire football over the past four years and Postecoglou’s approach has been a breath of fresh air for the North Londoners.
