Wolves were cruelly denied a point from an entertaining game with Tottenham yesterday. Jan Vertonghen’s goal deep into stoppage time saw Jose Mourinho leave Molineux with all three points.
Lucas Moura opened the scoring with a tremendous strike after eight minutes. Adama Traore restored parity in the 67th minute with an equaliser for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.
Vertonghen won the day in the 91st minute, however, lifting Spurs to within three points of Chelsea in fourth.

Wolves remain in eighth and will take a lot of encouragement from their performance if not the result.
Santo’s men were in the game for large parts and responded well to going a goal behind early doors.
Following the game Traore took to Twitter to fire a message to the Wolves supporters:
The flying winger signed for Wolves in August 2018 costing £18 million from Middlesbrough (BBC Sport).
The 23-year-old has been a standout performer for Wolves this season. In 26 games in all competitions, he has scored four goals and claimed six assists. F
